Dana McComb is an accomplished cellist, educator, and arts leader with a career spanning over 30 years in performance, teaching, and program development. She was appointed Managing Director of the Belvedere Series in 2025, where she brings her deep commitment to artistic excellence and community engagement to shape the series' vision and growth.
A graduate of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (BM, MM in Cello Performance), she also holds an Associate Diploma from the Royal Conservatory of Music of Toronto and Suzuki Certification. She has performed with the Richmond Symphony, Toronto Symphony, and Winnipeg Symphony, and was featured in the world premiere of Chasing Cello with the Richmond Ballet.
In addition to her leadership with the Belvedere Chamber Series, she directs the Richmond Symphony Youth Orchestra Honors Program, serves on the faculty at Virginia Commonwealth University, and maintains a vibrant private cello studio. Her educational initiatives, including the long-running Cellopalooza and Theory is Fun RVA, reflect her commitment to inclusive, innovative music education.
